Hire distribution, not a marketing retainer.
You have something worth showing and no budget for an agency. Describe what needs to travel and where, set a fixed reward, and people who already have an audience will put it in front of them.
What counts as a promotion task
Anything where the deliverable is attention. A launch post, a thread, a short video, a newsletter mention, a community share, a translated write-up for a market you cannot reach yourself. The work is judged by what it produced — a link, a screenshot, the reach it reported — not by how long it took.
- A launch post on a platform where you have no following.
- A piece of your product content adapted for another language or market.
- A mention in a newsletter or a community your audience already reads.
- A short video or thread explaining what you built.
- Distribution into a niche you can name but cannot reach.
How it runs
- 1. Post the brief
Say what should travel, on which channels, and what a finished delivery looks like. Set a fixed reward in credits — it is reserved on your balance when you post.
- 2. Pick by audience, not by follower count
Applicants show their profile and where they actually publish. A small audience that is exactly right usually beats a large one that is not.
- 3. Approve the evidence
The promoter submits the link or the proof of reach. When you approve it, the reward moves from your balance to theirs and both sides can rate.
Who posts promotion tasks
Indie developers and small teams launching without a marketing hire; founders entering a market where they have no network; and anyone who has made something good and needs the first few hundred people to see it.

Common questions
How do I price a promotion task?
Set what the outcome is worth to you. Applicants will pass if it is too low and compete if it is fair. There is no rate card because reach is not a commodity — a good match in a small niche can be worth more than a large generic audience.
What proof does a promoter submit?
Whatever the brief asked for: the published link, a screenshot, the platform's own reach numbers. Agree this when you post it, so approving the delivery is a simple yes or no.
Can I require a specific platform or language?
Yes, and you usually should. The channels are stated in the brief and applicants self-select on them, which is why saying "Japanese X audience" attracts someone who actually has one.
What if the reach is poor?
That is a judgement call, and the data is visible before you approve. If the delivery does not meet the brief you agreed, do not approve it and say why — the rating is there for the same reason.
Is this only for crypto or Web3 products?
No. Hishmate settles rewards in credits on-chain, but the tasks themselves are ordinary: apps, newsletters, communities, physical products. Nothing about the payments restricts what can be promoted.
How do I pay?
In platform credits. You top up by sending USDC on the Arbitrum Sepolia network, where 1 USDC becomes 1 credit, and spend those credits on tasks.
