EXPERTISE, ON DEMAND

Hire an expert for one hour, not one headcount.

You do not need a full-time hire to get a second opinion. Describe the decision you are stuck on, set a fixed reward, and someone who has solved it before will tell you what they would do.

Post a consulting task

What counts as a consulting task

Anything where the value is judgement rather than hours of production. Reviewing a pricing plan, pressure-testing a go-to-market idea, reading a contract clause, sanity-checking an architecture, explaining a market you do not know. It is usually bounded — an hour on a call, a written teardown, a short follow-up — and it ends with advice you can act on.

  • A pricing or packaging decision you keep postponing.
  • A technical architecture you want a second pair of eyes on.
  • A market, a country or a regulation you have never worked in.
  • A hiring or org question, or a career decision of your own.
  • A document, a plan or a deck that needs an honest read.

How it runs

  1. 1. Post the question

State the decision and the outcome you want, choose the consulting category and set a fixed reward in credits. Posting reserves that reward on your balance.

  2. 2. Pick the person

Applicants arrive with a profile, skills and a resume. You are choosing a specific person, not a firm — read what they have actually done.

  3. 3. Approve and pay

The expert delivers. When you approve it, the reward moves from your balance to theirs. Nothing is charged before that point.

Who posts consulting tasks

Founders and small teams that need one answer and cannot justify a consultancy retainer; product and engineering leads checking a decision before committing to it; and individuals who want one conversation with someone further along the same path.

Common questions

How is the reward decided?

You set it when you post, and it is fixed from then on. Applicants decide whether it is worth their time, so an unrealistic reward simply attracts no one.

When am I charged?

The reward is reserved on your balance when you post, but it only leaves your account when you approve the delivery. Until then it is held, not spent.

What if the advice is not useful?

Approval is your call — if the delivery does not answer the question you asked, do not approve it and say why. That is also what the rating is for.

How long should a consultation be?

As long as the question needs. Most are an hour or less, but a written teardown or a staged review is equally normal. What matters is that the scope is clear enough to be completed.

Can I keep the advice private?

Yes. What gets published is the task description and the outcome, not a transcript. If the topic is sensitive, say so in the description.

Do I need to pay in a specific currency?

Rewards are held in platform credits. You top up by sending USDC on the Arbitrum Sepolia network, where 1 USDC becomes 1 credit, and spend those credits on tasks.
